Vivian Romeu
Havana, 1970. With nearly 30 years of teaching experience and a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Havana, Cuba, I’ve dedicated over a decade to exploring the connections between cognition, emotions, and subjectivity.
Formerly part of Mexico’s National System of Researchers, I relocated to Miami in 2022. Alongside numerous academic publications, my recent focus has been on understanding cognition, emotions and learning. That’s why in 2019, I founded Toroide Latin School, an avant-garde educational venture where I serve as the Director General. Here, I lead the charge in not just academics but also spearhead programs in Mathematics, Sciences, and Emotional Intelligence.
Join me in shaping tomorrow’s leaders!

Havana in 1970. Passionate about literature and languages, with a deep affinity for Latin, poetry, detective novels, and nurturing both young and elderly alike through education. Graduating in 1994 with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the José Antonio Echeverría Higher Polytechnic Institute in Havana, Cuba, I transitioned into business, gaining extensive experience as an administrator and project manager in commercial ventures.
In 2001, I pursued my passion for teaching by earning certification as an ESL teacher with a specialization in preschool education. Since then, I have dedicated myself to the joyous task of educating young minds.
Currently, I am a partner at Toroide Latin School, where I oversee the Language, Writing and Reading, and Nature and Ecological Thought programs.
